About Clinical Neurodynamics

At Mobility Plus Downtown Seattle Chiropractic Care, we believe in the saying, “no nerve, no pain.” Neurogenic disorders are common, and their incidence is probably underestimated.

Clinical Neurodynamics is a system developed by Australian physical therapist Michael Shacklock that we use extensively to treat musculoskeletal disorders with peripheral neurogenic origin, including those of nerve root and peripheral nerves.

Clinical Neurodynamics

Some Examples of These types of conditions include:

  • Radiculopathies
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Neuropathies
  • Nerve compression syndrome
  • Meralgia paresthetica
  • Brachial plexalgia
  • Intercostal neuralgia
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Ulnar nerve entrapment
  • Pinched nerve
  • Slipped disc
  • Peripheral nerve impingement
  • Neck and arm pain
  • Low back and leg pain
  • Numbness and/or tingling in the hands or feet
  • Numbness and/or tingling of the arms or legs
  • Throbbing pain
  • Burning pain

If you have ever experienced any of the following you could benefit from a clinical neurodynamics assessment:

  • Throbbing neck or low back pain
  • Burning, stabbing, or electrical sensations down one or both legs
  • Burning, stabbing, or electrical sensations down one or both arms
  • Neck or low back muscle tension
  • Weakness in your legs or arms
  • Scoliosis
  • Lumbago
  • Persistent headaches
  • Pain during or after a workout or lifting weights
  • Incontinence (in general or during/after workouts)
  • Inability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Cold hands/feet
  • Hot hands/feet

Due to the complexity of these conditions, clinical neurodynamics gives clinicians a non-invasive physical method to address faulty neural mechanics.

By utilizing the clinical neurodynamic system we can confidently determine the underlying cause of your pain and radiating symptoms and help to reduce those with reliable nerve sequencing techniques.

If you have ever been diagnosed with the aforementioned conditions, going through a clinical neurodynamics assessment with us could help to progress you towards an asymptomatic state.
