Sleep Awareness Month

  • March 1, 2018

The National Sleep Foundation promotes the importance of good sleep and awareness about sleep deprivation and disorders affecting quality sleep.

If you’ve been around our office you will know that we highly value sleep.

Not only does it help the body physically heal and recover, it is also an important tool in mental and emotional health.

There are a myriad of issues that can affect sleep health:

  1. Insomnia
  2. REM Sleep Behavior Disorder
  3. Snoring
  4. Sleep Apnea
  5. Excessive Sleepiness

The causes of these issues are wide ranging and not always well understood.

If you have any of these diagnosable disorders it is pertinent that you speak to a sleep specialist.

What about the rest of us who may not have a clinically diagnosable disorder, but still have trouble getting quality sleep?

At Mobility Plus we highly value good sleep and we have a sleep series blog that details easy ways to improve sleep quality.

Things like:

  1. Blue light exposure
  2. Room temperature
  3. Mental relaxation
