NECK PAIN

Also called the cervical spine

About Neck Pain

Our neck, also called the cervical spine, begins at the base of the skull and contains seven small vertebrae.

As an incredibly intricate structure, it virtually supports the entire weight of your head.

While the cervical spine can move our neck in virtually every direction, this level of flexibility can make it very susceptible to injury and pain if not stabilized correctly.

What causes neck pain?

Activities and events that affect cervical biomechanics include extended sitting, repetitive movement, accidents, falls and blows to the body or head, normal aging, and everyday wear and tear - just to make a few. Neck pain can be very bothersome, and it can have a variety of causes.

Spinal manipulation is a safe and effective non-drug spine pain treatment. It reduces pain (decreasing the need for medication in some cases), rapidly advances physical therapy, and requires very few passive forms of treatment, such as bed rest.

At Mobility Plus, we combine chiropractic manipulation with functional rehabilitation tailored to your needs to get you back to what you LOVE to do.
